The kit includes 4 hooks to attach to the lip.
The device is powered by a popular 1 battery type 6F22 - 9V (the battery is not included in the set).
It has a digital LCD display indicating the current power.
3 levels of work intensity: High, Medium, and Low.
Automatic shut-off after 3 minutes.
The device generates delicate impulses that slowly increase their intensity.
If the patient feels a stimulus, immediately release the button and the pulses will stop being generated, the result will be frozen on the display.
The device generates pulses on a scale from 0 to 80:
0 - 40 - the tooth pulp is alive,
40 - 80 - pulp inflamed,
> 80 - dead pulp.
Simple operation:
isolate and dry the tooth,
inform the patient to give you a signal when he starts to feel some impulses running through the tooth,
apply a dot of toothpaste or other gel as a guide to the surface,
put the electrode into the device and the wire hook. The electrode can not touch the gum because there will be a reading error,
put a hook on the lip, apply the electrode to the tooth (into the paste) - the device will emit impulses, wait for the patient's reactions,
on the display, the indicator will show the intensity of the impulses sent (up to 39 will be green, over 40 red which indicates the need for root canal treatment),
stop testing how the patient will start to feel stimuli.
